Realistic Basis of Sinicization, Modernization and Popularization of Marxism Wu Zhuo,Ma Fuyun （School of Marxism in Tsinghua University, Beijing 100084） Abstract：It is a strategic task put forward by the Fourth Plenary Session of the 17th Central Committee of the CPC to advance the process of sinicization, modernization and popularization of Marxism. The reasons why China is ＂ proper＂ to disseminate Marxism are as follows ： firstly, Marxism is accordant with the value orientation of tradition- al Chinese culture, which forms the philosophic basis of sinicization, modernization and popularization of Marxism ; the great banner, route and theoretical system of socialism with Chinese characteristics are political basis of siniciza- tion, modernization and popularization of Marxism ; the Marxist thinking provides cultural basis for sinicization, modernization and popularizatio is consistent with Chinese thinking, which n of Marxism; theoretical innovation and propaganda is practical basis of sinicization, modernization and popularization of Marxism.  Key words： Marxism ; sinicization ; modernization ; popularization ; realistic basis
